Xinsuiying (GuangRun) has prior collaboration experience across international footwear, bag and fashion programmes, including Balenciaga, DKNY, Camper, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, FitFlop, KARL LAGERFELD and Tory Burch. That matters because a leather choice affects much more than a colour card. It shapes hand-feel, durability, finish, manufacturing route and the commercial viability of the finished product.
For every Alrightmade development, the buyer’s own brief, specification, sample and approvals remain the decision point. Our role is to turn that brief into a clear material route with the right leather base, finish, sample cut and production checks.

A leather production base in Kaiping, Guangdong
Kaiping Xin Sui Ying Leather Products Co., Ltd. was established in 2008 in Kaiping, Guangdong. The production base covers about 70 mu, with more than 40,000 square metres of standardised workshop space. It works across leather manufacturing and processing trade, with a route from approved base leather, including wet blue, through to finished leather.
Its latest five-year capacity record shows annual capacity growing from 73.6 million square feet in 2020 to 93.6 million square feet in 2024. Reported utilisation for 2024 was 68.3%. Scale is useful only when it supports a buyer’s brief, so each project still begins with the product category, thickness, hand-feel, finish, target quantity, price direction and delivery window.

From wet blue to a finished surface
Leather is not one fixed material. The same product brief can require a different base, temper, surface, thickness or colour route depending on whether the end use is footwear, bags, belts, small leather goods or leather-trim apparel. Xinsuiying’s production set-up combines tanning, shaving, softening, drying, surface finishing and packing stages. Not every leather takes the same path, but the sequence gives the team practical points to control the material before bulk approval.

Condition the leather for the hand-feel and working behaviour required by the product.

Trim and review hides before the next stage of the finishing route.

Drying is planned around the leather construction, surface and intended finish.

Surface work shapes the colour, touch, sheen and visual character of the leather.

Finishing equipment helps refine the surface before final material review.

Finished leather is checked and prepared for the next approved sample or production stage.
For the buyer, the useful question is whether the production route is clear enough to repeat. Before approving a leather, we help define the base leather, target thickness, colour standard, finish, acceptable variation, sample reference and commercial conditions. This reduces the risk of approving a swatch that looks right but does not match the intended quantity, price or delivery plan.
Material directions for bags, footwear and apparel details
Xinsuiying offers smooth, coated and textured leather directions, including cow Nappa, foil leather, litchi-grain cow, waxed leather, snake-embossed leather, patent leather and chrome-free leather. These are different material directions rather than interchangeable trend names. Each should be assessed against the construction and use of the finished product.

From surface direction to product application
The product and finish references below remain part of this article because they show how a leather direction can translate into footwear, bags and small leather goods. They are material-development references, not a ready-made design catalogue. Product construction, branding and final approvals are defined independently for each programme.

- Cow Nappa: a soft, smooth direction for a refined handle and clean colour expression.
- Foil and patent finishes: surface-led options for metallic, high-shine or polished product stories.
- Litchi-grain and waxed leathers: tactile, natural-looking directions for more casual or heritage-led products.
- Embossed leathers: decorative grain and pattern options that give a collection a distinct surface identity.
- Chrome-free leather: a route to assess where a brief calls for chrome-free tanning.
Process control, LWG Gold Rating and project checks
The facility includes wastewater treatment and monitored discharge management as part of its operating set-up. It has held LWG Gold Rating for six consecutive years. The Gold Rated mark is shown below. For every development, the applicable rating scope, material specification, market requirements and testing needs are reconfirmed for the actual leather being proposed.

Quality is not a final inspection alone. The practical checkpoints are set with the buyer’s brief: selected material, sample reference, colour, thickness, finish, physical requirements, relevant documentation and bulk approval.
That approach keeps the material record connected to the product development route, rather than treating compliance or quality as a generic promise.

A long-term working partnership with global reach
Alrightmade has worked with Xinsuiying (GuangRun) over many years. The relationship is long-standing and direct: the factory owner is a former classmate of our founder. That close connection gives our teams a shorter path for communication and decision-making, supporting faster development coordination, clearer lead-time planning and more competitive commercial options for suitable leather programmes.
Through this partnership, we support leather sourcing and export programmes for clients across the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and Poland; the United States, Brazil and Argentina; and the Middle East and Asia-Pacific, including Dubai and the wider United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Vietnam and Thailand. The coverage extends across leather materials, footwear, bags, belts, small leather goods and leather-trim apparel.
If you are developing leather bags, shoes, belts, accessories or leather-trim apparel, send us the product reference, intended end use, target quantity, market, colour direction and material requirements. We can turn that starting point into a sourcing brief, sample route and approval plan with the relevant Guangdong partners.
